Groupwork Diploma in Forensic Settings
Turvey Groupwork and the Institute of Group Analysis present an advanced course designed for professionals working in forensic settings. This Diploma offers an in‐depth introduction to the theory and practice of group work, providing a pathway to Group Work Practitioner Status, Associate IGA membership, and ultimately full Group Analyst training.
Entry Requirements
Course Format & Dates
- Runs over 10 block weekends from September 2025 to July 2026
- Weekends run from Friday at 3:00pm to Sunday at 3:30pm
- Specific start dates include: September 19th, October 17th, November 21st, December 5th 2025; January 16th, February 20th, March 20th, April 17th, June 12th, and July 17th 2026
Large Group & National Learning Experience
Large Group Meetings: Online sessions on the 3rd Friday of each month (7:00pm–8:30pm), bringing together current and past students
National Learning Experience: A three-day event to explore curriculum topics in depth with peers from across the country (venue and date TBC)
Assessment & WRG Structure
- Two essays: one theoretical and one reflective practice
- Reports from both WRG and workplace supervisors, where applicable
- WRGs consist of up to 6 students with a supervisor, focusing on group analytic discussion and reflection

Accommodation: Onsite accommodation and meals available at the Cuddesdon Retreat and Conference Centre
Fee: £4,600 (early bird fee of £4,400 available until the end of April 2025) plus a non-refundable registration fee of £200
