- Group to bring to Work Reflection Group agreed with the course director.

The course will run over 10 block weekends from September 2024 to 2025. The course will run from Friday afternoons through to Sunday afternoons.

National learning experience
This three-day event will provide an opportunity to explore some areas of the curriculum in greater depth and an extended experience of working together in various groups with students from across the country.

The Large Group
The Large Group takes place on line on the third Friday of every month and is attended by several generations of graduates and students from the Turvey Training community. Both diploma and foundation course students are required to attend.

Assessment
1: There are two essays, one theoretical and one reflective.
2: WRG supervisors report and external supervisors report.

Structure of Work Reflection Group (WRG)
WRG typically consist of up to 6 students and a WRG supervisor. Students take turns to present their work with the group that they have chosen to present in the WRG and this is discussed from a group analytic perspective by the whole WRG. Time is allowed for reflection on the process of the WRG itself. There is typically a minimum of 5 hours per student over the year for presentation and assessment.

Arrangements for groups presented
A wide range of therapeutic groups are acceptable for the purposes of the diploma. Groups may take place, for example, in health settings, in social care settings, in various settings in the community and in the wider spectrum of work places. The suitability of the group should be discussed with the course convenor before applying for the course. Some of the issues to be considered will include: frequency of group; stability of the membership of the group; nature of the student's role within the group; ethical issues.

Personal Therapy
Membership of a psychotherapy group is a requirement of the course. There are block therapy groups which run alongside the diploma course weekends, these are available to all.

If you wish to arrange a consultation to join one of the slow open block therapy groups, please contact:
